No Regrets.

sunny

Last Friday morning, naka-upo ako sa may lobby area ng Peoplesupport waiting for a delivery from The Sandwich Guy.

May naupo sa katabi kong upuan. Isang babae. Medyo chubby. Di ko kilala. Pero cute siya.

"Hi Bookie," bati niya, nakangiti ng medyo may halong nerbyos.

Ngumiti ako, "Hello."

"I love your blog," sabi niya.

Why does this happen whenever I'm alone, isip ko, no wonder my friends think I'm making this up.

"Thanks, I love it, too," biro ko.

"Sayang ni-block siya ng HR ano?" sabi niya.

Tumango ako, "I'm sorry, what's your name pala?"

She shook my hand, "Cherry. Forever na ba siyang blocked?"

"Feeling ko forever," sagot ko, "Kasing forever ng mga bilbil ko."

To be honest, it didn't surprise me na na-block na siya. Ever since I started writing this blog 3 years ago, I've been expecting HR or IT to block it.

I mean, let's admit it, my blog's hardly company-friendly.

"Sad naman," sabi ni Cherry.

Tumango ako, "I think they had no choice. Medyo naging violent ang reaction ng mga tao sa entry ko. I heard someone even used a cutter to scratch X's on the faces posted in our elevator of some very prominent people in our company."

"Yeah, I saw that poster, na-schock rin ako," sabi niya, "Sana wala na lang ganun."

"Agree," sabi ko, "Sana rin hindi nagpost yung ibang readers ng racist comments and profanity."

"But what can you say about the new payroll policy?" tanong ni Cherry.

"Well, it's definitely better than the first one they rolled out," sagot ko, choosing my words carefully, "I can honestly say it's the lesser of two evils."

"True, thank God for your blog at narinig nila tayo," sabi niya.

"I'd like to think it was a team effort," sabi ko, natatawa.

"Nabasa ba talaga ng management yung entry?" tanong niya.

"I heard oo daw," sagot ko, "Some of them even had to use Google Chrome para lang ma-translate into English yung mga comments eh."

More small talk.

Before Cherry left, she asked me one more question:

"Tingin mo, uunti na ang magbabasa ng blog mo sa office dahil naka-block siya?"

I sighed, "It's a definite possibility. Feeling ko, siguro mababawasan ang mag-cocomment. Pero alam mo naman ang mga call center agents, kung anung bawal, yun ang madalas ginagawa."

She smiled, "I'll keep reading, don't worry."

I smiled as well.

I'm not worried at all.

P.S.

Sorry for the lack of posts.

I can promise you this, though, I will post Ina Magenta's version of "One Stormy Night", the third and final installment before the end of this week.

Ciao!

P.P.S.

BTW, walang halong sarcasm, pero I would like to thank HR for being able to get Mickey Perz as a judge sa Idols Dance contest natin.

For the past two Friday nights, I've been asking him for a picture. He is just the cutest thing ever.

Ito ang mga resulta:

Pansin niyo? Lagi kaming terno?

Mahal ko na siya.

We are soooo meant to be.

Dear Peoplesupport Employees...

rain

I have a lot to say about how our company is giving us our salary and 13th month pay this December.

But I refuse to do so, because in my almost eight years here, not once has an opinion of mine ever changed how management works.

I'm tired of seemingly being the lone voice in the crowd.

I will say one thing: I feel like it's a bad year to be here.

Things have changed, and, it's not true what they say, not all changes are good.

What they're doing may be legal (though I have no idea why it is), but it doesn't feel ethical.

Actually? Nakakapagod na.

I still love working here because of my friends, my teammates and my supervisors. They're all brilliant people.

And majority of the folks here in PS are smart, intelligent people.

And I think it's about time we be heard. Don't you?

So, my dear fellow employees of Peoplesupport:

Wanna be heard? Wanna shout out?

Comments, please.

Because I assure you, they will read this.

Walk Walk Fashion Baby!

sunny

Obviously, this is not Part 3 of my "One Stormy Night" entry.

Here's the thing, Schoolboi, Pasha and I had breakfast this morning and I showed them the third entry before I could publish it.

Now, the two of them are claiming that I had the events screwed up kasi super lasing nga daw ako.

So, it would be obvious na we needed a third party to tell us kung ano talaga ang nangyari after we started really getting wasted.

So, dear readers, ang magsusulat ng third and last entry ng "One Stormy Night" ay walang iba kundi si Ina Magenta.

She was somewhat sober and says that she remembers clearly kung anung nangyari.

Nag-promise si Ina Magenta na ibibgay niya sa akin ang kaniyang "witness account" before the end of the week.

For the meantime, I wanted to share with you guys some pics from the first fashion show I ever attended.

2P1250686.jpg
I was invited by my friend and teammate, Bench, to his friend's fashion show last Sunday, which was the last day of Fashion Week in SMX.

P1250555.jpg
Who, btw, was an hour and a half late kaya di naman na-attend-an ang show nung friend namin.

Kaya ibang designer's show na lang pinanood namin.

1P1250569.jpg
This is Gerswyn Qua, my fashion designer friend. Sayang di namin napanood show niya, front row pa sana kami.

When we got to the event, I felt so underdressed!

5P1250570.jpg
Ang taray ng suot di ba?

P1250564.jpg
Ang taray din ng face.

P1250560.jpg
Tallest gay guy in the world.

P1250578.jpg
Sushality ang sponsor ng event. Sony Vaio. Aaaand, San Marino Tuna. Anlabo.

Ang ganda sa loob nung show! Super lumabas ang pagka-probinsyano ko.

P1250584.jpg

P1250596.jpg

P1250588.jpg
See the red shoes? I have not yet seen a straight guy wearing those kind of shoes.

P1250592.jpg
I may not know anything about fashion, pero I'm pretty sure this is a cap worn by jejemons. It's a jeje-cap!

P1250678.jpg
Haute Kookoor. Kookoortinahin.

To be honest, I was more interested in the audience, rather than the clothes.

P1250598.jpg
P1250623.jpg
These people were sitting in the front row.

They were wearing dark shades the whole time. I don't get it.

Yung naka-red checkered shirt with torn pants ay si Robbie Carmona daw, a fashion director.

And then, the models started going down the catwalk.

P1250641.jpg
P1250611.jpg
P1250613.jpg
P1250633.jpg
P1250634.jpg
P1250636.jpg

And then, the male models:

P1250653.jpg
P1250660.jpg

That's when he walked out:

P1250662.jpg

Si Hideo Muraoka! Ang aking imaginary boyfriend!

He looked divinely delicious.

P1250655.jpg
P1250642.jpg
P1250663.jpg
P1250668.jpg

At dahil mahal ko si Hideo, naghintay kami sa labas ng dressing room ng mga models para makapag-pa-picture ako with him.

While we were waiting, I asked some of the models if I could take their pics.

P1250679.jpg
P1250680.jpg
P1250681.jpg
P1250682.jpg

P1250683.jpg
Si Luke Jickain! He's so guwapo! Na-bobo ako sa kaguwapuhan niya. He's joined here by two of my other friends, si Jeff and Kenneth.

P1250684.jpg

Alas, after thirty minutes of waiting, no Hideo.

So we went out to the lobby and I asked some of the supermodels if Kimpet could have a picture with some of them.

All of them said yes!

At eto ang resulta:

P1250687.jpg

Nagmukha siyang yaya. Ang tatangkad ng mga bilat na to.

When we went to MOA, na-insecure yata ang mga friends ko.

Napilitang bumili ng pampaganda:
