Para sa mga Single...
31.01.2010
Good morning, PeopleSupport!!!
Alam niyo yan.
Anyway, if you're single this Valentine's, and in need of some serious food bingeing, I have two places I would like to suggest.
Please make sure to bring a good friend with you who's also single, para pareho niyong isusumpa ang pag-ibig sa harap ng pagkain.
Mmmkay.
Anyway, first off, we went to Sango! The Burger Master. I read about Sango in Anton's ourawesomeplanet.com entry.
You guys should really try Sango's. I swear, such a refreshing eating experience.
First, the place is close enough sa Peoplesupport that you can walk to it.
Second, the place is super clean.
True to their Japanese theme, they have an LCD tv playing only japanese shows.
What I love also about the place is, they offer their diners free use of their manga collection! They even have Naruto! Super Naruto fan ako kaya enjoy talaga.
They even have a lounge area where you can eat your food and chill at the same time.
You get to watch as they cook your order on the spot, for real freshness.
Now, about the food:
Coverboy ordered the Master CheeseBurger Meal, which came with fries and a drink.
The picture doesn't do it justice, and its price of P240 may discourage some from ordering it, but let me tell you: it's big, it's delicious, it's one of the best things I've put into my mouth.
I, on the other hand, ordered their signature burger, the Yakiniku Rice Burger with fries and a drink (P210).
Again, not a good picture (I really should buy a proper camera), but I cannot emphasize enough how good this burger was. The beef was soft and tasted really fresh, the rice buns were thick and steamy and tasted the way only good and authentic Japanese rice ought to taste.
The burgers were so good that Coverboy bought two more for us:
This was his, the Yakiniku Rice Burger with Kimchi topping.
And for me, the Chicken Curry burger.
HEAVEN.
Plus, they have this drink called the Calpis Soda which the cashier recommended I try at P50.
The waitress also gave us some free origami!
Sango also has an interesting toilet:
Hi-tech ito.
I don't know what an "anus nozzle" is, pero I'm going to have to try it out the next time I'm here. Nakakakiliti siguro yun.
BTW, Sango delivers! You can reach them at 889-4445, minimum food purchase is P350.
The next day, different resto naman ang sinubukan namin ni Coverboy.
Ladies and gentlemen, meet Mr. Jones:
It's located in Greenbelt 5 and serves diner-style food.
Medyo pricey ang place pero since the dishes are good enough for two, you can share naman.
Try to avoid lunch and dinner hours if you want a good seat inside the resto. Medyo maliit ang inside nila, or you can eat na lang al fresco para maluwag ng kaunti.
We started off with a chocolate milkshake so big, they had to serve the rest of it in a separate metal canister. This milkshake was so thick, I had trouble sipping it through the straw. Yumyumyum. This drink is around 150P.
We followed that up with their Wicked Truffle Mac and Cheese (P300+).
At first bite, dehins ko siya na-feel. After the third and fourth bite, saka ko narealize na sushal pala talaga yung cheese na hinalo nila dito.
I ordered their bestseller, the Tapa and Garlic Overload, (P300+).
Mukhang maliit yung dish sa pic ko, pero masama lang ang kuha ko from my phone.
Here's a better pic from chuvaness.com:
Again, a dish that's good enough for two, the only problem is, once you taste it, I don't think you'd want to share it with anyone else. Super delish and soft yung beef. And topped with crispy garlic pa. This is undoubtedly their bestseller kasi nakita namin na 90% of the crowd was ordering this.
Coverboy ordered Steak something na di ko maalala ang name pero, I know parang sirang plaka na ako, but this was really really REALLY good.
Our total bill came to P1400+ . Not cheap, pero imagine naman na the dishes were good enough for two, so yung kinain namin was really for four. So, not bad na rin di ba?
You have to have to have to try them both, Sango and Mr. Jones.
