Happiness is relative...

sabi nga ng kaibigan kong taga-Dubai...

all seasons in one day -17 °C

Nakita niyo na ba payslip niyo ngayon online?

Nakakapanlambot no?

Feeling ko bigla pang-SM saleslady lang ang kinita ko, and I didn't even get to wear their trademark short skirt and full facial make-up.

More than 5 years na ako dito sa PS, and yet parang pantay lang ang sweldo namin nung katabi kong newbie (no offense, iha).

Naalala ko tuloy yung email na natanggap ng management natin from an anonymous agent. Nabasa niyo ba yung email na yun?

Basically, this guy emailed the whole management staff of our account, enumerating several grievances and complaints which he or she claims is the general consensus on the floor.

A line from the email says this: "This offer of a 3,000 incentive as a thank you is very very very late in coming. It's more like a slap in the face. "

Strong words, di ba? If I were a phone agent, I would actually be surprised that management would be willing to still provide such an amount.

Call me cynical, but I would think that given their resources, that would be the best that an agent could hope for.

Believe you me, P3000 as compensation is nothing to scoff at.

This email also mentioned something about PeopleSupport not being competitive salary-wise. Well, honey, of course it isn't. Or maybe not? Care to comment, mga TM's?

As per the anonymous email sender, "Oil prices are rising, market commodity prices are rising, our salary remains the same. If the company will not do something about it, they will keep on losing their tenured agents who transfer to other centers due to greener pastures."

This is a business after all, and I'm pretty sure this company is feeling the disparaging effects of the economy as well.

Though I may have certain issues with the retention program of this company, specially for vet reps, I also understand the natural cycle of call center companies.

The thing is, for every single agent na umalis dito, 10 aplikante ang papalit.

Another line from the email: "We want to touch a little bit about the activites to create fun. What kind of activities are these? Dressing up and acting like kids? Playing games on the floor? We are professionals in our own sense. Do you see other offices dressing up like clowns in their work place? We are not kids. We will not be amused with that kind of activity."

Actually, I know quite a lot of call centers who do the same thing or something like it. Really now, bakit naman pati ito irereklamo? I actually thought the whole "Dress-up-your-sup" activity was a blast! Pang-alis stress nga eh. Some people really should lighten up.

Reading back on what I just wrote, it sounds like I am pro-management. Those who know me well would know that this is soooo far from the truth.

It's just that I have realistic expectations.

Now if you'll excuse me, kakanta pa ako ng "Come on in out of the rain" habang nakapila sa ATM.

Ang Eskandalo... Bow!

all seasons in one day

Sorry about not being able to post lately. I was on vacation. :)

camvideo.jpg

Good morning, PeopleSupport!!!

Ehem.

Baka ipapatay niya ako, or worse! Ilipat ng account! Sheeet.

Ito kasing isa kong kabarkada at ka-opisina (who was the one who showed me the video), ma-kati pa sa higad na binudburan ng asin at vetsin. And as it turns out, this badet, who is not from this company, had, shall we say, an illicit affair with this well-known supervisor/manager/CSA/security guard (kayo na ang bahalang pumili, ayoko magbigay ng clue!) and as it turned out, they were both so drunk that they ended up recording their sexual romp via camphone!

OMG talaga.

Alam kong hihingi kayo ng clue, pero ito lang ang masasabi ko: He's kinda cute and feeling ko kaya niya akong buhatin!!!

Vague ba?

I received this email from a teammate. It's from the Blas Ople Center. Sana pumirma kayo...

To: Call Center Operators/CCAP

How many times have we heard stories of people being harassed and mugged on their way to and from work during late hours? The working force of call centers are constantly exposed to dangers like this because of all the bad elements that prowl the streets during the wee hours of the morning.

In the spirit of Labor Day this coming May 1, 2008, we would like to propose that Call Centers offer free shuttle services to night-shift employees for their own safety. The service won't have to bring all of them home directly but at least drop them off in secure places that have decent lighting with access to public transportation.

If you believe in this, then please sign this online petition and forward to your friends. Thank you and mabuhay po kayong lahat!

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

David versus David!!!

all seasons in one day

davids.jpg

This is it!

After all the mediocre performances of Ramiele, after the stoned and drugged songs of cutie Jason Castro, the two Davids will be battling it out next week sa finale.

Although patay na patay ako sa kakyutan ng badet na si Archuleta (not to mention his truly fantastic vocals), nanginginig naman ako sa tuwa pag naririnig ko ang mga pamatay na renditions ni Cook.

Nalilito ako sa kung sinong susuportahan ko.

Si Paula Abdul na lang kaya? Goodness knows that woman needs all the support she can get.

Sheeet. Malulungkot ako pag natapos na ang AI. Ano na lang ang isusunod kong susubaybayan?

Kayo? Kanino kayo boto?

Cook or Archuleta?

And now, a word from our management...

sunny

jungle_cubicle.jpg

The phone in my manager's station rang. Dahil feeling sekretarya ako, sinagot ko naman.

"Andrew's station, hello?"

"Si Andrew, andyan?" said the gruff manly voice on the other line.

"Ay wala siya, umuwi na," sagot ko naman, and at this point, feeling ko maid na ako.

"Bookie, ikaw ba yan?" tanong naman nung lalake.

"OMG, is that you, CC?" ang tanong ko rin.

CC is this guy who's in upper management in a different account. He's a good friend. Always so funny. And has such a lovely wife and baby.

"May chika ako sa iyo," CC said, which proves my point na kahit mga tunay na lalake, mahilig sa tsismis.

"Spill it," I said.

"Alam mo ba, may isa raw babaeng nag-CR, tapos pagpasok niya sa cubicle, may narinig siyang kakaiba sa katabing cubicle niya."

"Anong narinig niya?"

Umuugong? Ano yun?

Di man lang sa guard or something? Sandali, ano bang iniisip niya?

CC whispered.

OMG. Assumptionista ba?

"Ito namang HR natin, I think it was someone from Employee Relations, pumunta sa CR and kinatok ang cubicle," CC said.

"Ano nakita nila?"

"Pagbukas ng pinto, it was a woman, using a breast pump," CC answered, "She was apparently collecting the milk for her baby. And naglalactate pala siya so she needed to release the milk."

Don't they know that breastmilk is still best for babies?

Ano uli yung kanta ni Katherine McPhee?

crossroad.jpg

How do you avoid being extra mushy when greeting someone you used to be head over heels in love with a happy birthday?

Easy.

You say it in tagalog.

Maligayang bati, Pumpkin!

My heart may not sing out your name anymore, pero at least friends pa rin tayo, ahehehe.

Akalain mong naging magkaibigan pa rin tayo even after all the drama of years past.

I guess that only means one thing. Patay na patay ka talaga sa akin. Well, get in line, sugar.

Joke lang!

:)

Gaydar Issues...

storm

stranger.jpg

You know, I used to be so proud of my gaydar, that innate sense of instantly knowing whether a guy is gay or not.

Pero, as it turns out, sobrang boplaks to the nth level na pala ako pagdating sa pag-amoy ng kapwa ko.

Take this guy in the picture above. Siya si BiBoi. He's as straight as, well, as the guards here in PeopleSupport.

Tapos, meron pa siyang girlfriend outside of the office. So, tipikal na hetero guy, di ba?

Pero apparently, itong si BiBoi, he "plays for both teams". Confirmed na isa pala siyang "puma". As in pumapatol sa badets.

At eto pa, may nakakita sa kanya na may kalandiang badet sa CR ng Island Cove during our summer outing.

Baka naman bisexual, you ask? Well, I've always believed bisexuality is the last thread a gay guy has in hoping that he were straight.

Hirap talaga maging tsismoso, noh?
