Anawangin...

sunny

I'm back!

And as promised, ito ang aking photo-entry about our bakasyon in Anawangin.

8111.jpg

The day before our trip, tinext ako nina Onica na dapat naka-red shirt ako bukas, and si Trainer Marlon naman daw ay naka-orange.

This time, ang theme namin ay "Summer Lovin'"

54.jpg
143.jpg
Lovelovelove Cherry Coke and Vanilla Coke!

56.jpg

Para magkasya kaming lahat sa iisang boat, we had to hire a big one which cost us P4500, kasama na dun ang island hopping.

There are also some small stores where you can buy dry goods and shit bago kayo magtungo sa island.

First stop, Capones Island!

47.jpg

Although not as pristine a beach as I would have wanted, maganda naman ang Capones Island. Not a lot of tourists around kasi mainit talaga and bihira ang shade.

78.jpg

Most of us hid from the sun underneath the rocks.

But then some of us... just couldn't resist the photo-opportunities.

Ladies and gentlemen, ang mga supermodels ng aming barkada, si Trainer Marlon and Supervisor Onica:

A couple of hours later, we headed na to Anawangin.

Once you get around the kanto of the island, sasalubungin kayo ng magandang view ng Anawangin:

411.jpg

Sorry, medyo pangit ang kuha.

Dear readers, let me tell you now, your first view of Anawangin will certainly take your breath away. Maganda siya, as in. The pine trees, the shoreline, the mountain view... sigh. Paradise.

12_1.jpg

Tents galore!

We were able to find a good spot which was close enough to the shore and closer still to a source of clean water.

312.jpg

413.jpg

514.jpg

BTW, we did not bring our own tents kasi naman meron kayong marerentahan sa Pundaquit na tents good enough for two-three pax. 500P ang fee for overnight rent.

May mga tiny stores where you can buy food and drinks kaso beware dahil medyo pricey. A liter of Coke costs 70P.

015.jpg

Once you set up camp, manghingi rin kayo ng tali para pwede kayong gumawa ng sampayan tulad ng ginagawa ni Trainer Marlon sa pic sa itaas.

416.jpg

There are also vendors selling hammocks. P100 yata ito.

317.jpg

The poso was near our campsite, the blue box in the picture is the "dressing room" na balita ko ay dumudoble rin bilang ihian. Eeew. At the back of the picture above, you'll see a row of doors hidden by a native fence. Ito ang toilet rooms.

218.jpg

Nagset-up kami ng makeshift na fireplace (you can borrow a small metal grill from the caretaker for no fee).

O di ba? Communing with nature lang talaga ang drama?

Here are some more pics of the island:

That night, nagluto kami ng dinner/pulutan namin na hotdog and porkchops topped with buhangin.

At ang inumin? Señor Cuervo!
25.jpg

The next day, wasted kaming lahat:
26.jpg

We had spanish sardines, Lapid's chicharon, and cold pulutan for breakfast:
27.jpg

And we freshened up in public sa poso:
28.jpg

This is for you daw, sabi ni Marlon, you-know-who-you-are...

I am definitely gonna miss Anawangin.
