I shrugged, "Busy sa work eh. Alam mo naman."
He nodded, and smiled. Sometimes, I cringe when I see him smile. Kakapanlambot eh.
He brushed back his hair, and asked me, "May lakad ka ba ngayong Sabado?"
I thought for a second, "Umm, not yet sure. Baka meron. Baka wala."
He nodded, and asked, a little hesitantly, "If ever wala, punta tayong Fat Michael's sa Bangkal. Gusto kong tikman yung food nila. Sabi mo kasi masarap dun."
I didn't answer.
"Is anything wrong?" he asked again, leaning towards me. I could smell his perfume. He was wearing my favorite scent, Kenzo L'eau Par.
I shook my head, "Wala. Nothing's wrong.
It was his turn to be quiet, as he crossed his long legs.
"Kumain ka na ba?" I asked him.
He didn't look at me, his eyes fixed on the tv, as he said, "Kumain na ako sa apartment ko. May dala akong spaghetti. Nilagay ko na sa ref mo."
I smiled.
He saw me smiling, and he smiled in response, "What's funny?"
I laughed, "Wala."
Here I go again...
