Sometime this February, I will be doing a reading of an excerpt of a play I wrote in front of other writers in U.P.; it's for this writing competition I joined.

The events coordinator texted me yesterday and informed me that they are now requiring a semi-formal dress code for the occasion.

Haaay. I hate dressing up. Unang-una, I would need to buy clothes pa. I don't exactly have anything new that would qualify for the semi-formal category. Puro sando lang at daster.

Pangalawa, the stage fright! Talking, in front of all those people? And the judges? Pakshet.

Thirdly, there will be a Q&A portion daw. Ano ito? Little Miss Philippines?

Most of all, I feel like an outsider compared to all the contestants there. Nakita ko sila during the first meeting held last year, and man, most of them looked so professional. And young. Para akong extra.
